At about fifteen, a YouTube video, Chopin’s Revolutionary Étude and a small keyboard opened the door to music.

One video was enough.
A MusicalBasics video of Chopin’s Revolutionary Étude was so fascinating that Patrick bought a small keyboard with his savings.
There was no teacher. He learned by ear, through YouTube tutorials and especially Synthesia videos – at home and during school breaks in the music room.
The goal
Still unfinished.
The étude became the great goal. It has not been fully reached yet – which may be one reason it still matters.
